So the other day My Guy and I were going for a walk- and the Boy decided he would go on a “short walk” with us. We had only gone about 4 blocks and he decided he wanted to turn back. Wimp & we told him so! We totally pressured him into going further with us. He complained that we were putting “peer pressure” on him. SHAME! We told him… “Nope! It’s parental pressure- and it’s the kind you SHOULD give in to!” In the face of THAT kind of logic… what choice did he have! LOL

But here is where it get’s interesting…
We walked down to the train tracks… and then My Guy proceeded to lead us across the train bridge! It was fine until the Boy started worrying… talking about how dangerous it was to be walking on the bridge in the dark, and HEY isn’t this ILLEGAL! (Oh Great!) Then he thought he could walk a little further in, in an effort to explain to him why he should not (the HUGE GAPING HOLES leading to the RIVER!) I dropped my water bottle down the hole… It was immediately pointed out that I had just LITTERED! Also ILLEGAL! (Carp! Now we are really winning parents of the year! LOL)
The rest of the walk was relatively uneventful. We chatted, we swat huge swarms of teeny tiny little bugs out of our way, we worried that it was going to rain. We were almost home free… when My Guy ran across the street- outside of the crosswalk!! (I think if we are counting here- that is the THIRD ILLEGAL thing we did!)
The Boy was QUICK to point out- that he would have been safer and less influenced by “evil” had he stayed home and NOT given in to Parental Pressure! <eek!>
This “parenting” thing is going to be a kick!

I am totally cracking up here…cute, funny story! I am excited to keep hearing about your new life!
Reminds me of a day we carried all our picnic stuff and swim gear to a picnic area only to discover the sign said “no swimming”… The kids could read so we went back to the truck and drove to another place… Hard always to do it all “right”.
That is so funny! Love it when they just look for things!
